We have a state-of-the-art X-ray machine that produces excellent quality radiographs. Radiographs are essential for diagnosing certain medical and surgical problems, and are performed routinely, with pets either awake or anesthetized. We also are able to perform various types of contrast studies as well as X-rays for the diagnosis of hip dysplasia.
Ultrasound Machine
Ultrasound
This is a non-invasive modern technique that produces a visual image of the interior of the body. Ultrasound is completely free from side effects. In addition, ultrasound allows the doctor to achieve a depth of detail that is not possible with x-rays. Ultrasound is particularly useful in diagnosing abdominal diseases.
Idexx Laboratory Equipment
Our in-house laboratory is equipped with a blood chemistry and hematology analyzer that tests for anemia, white blood cell levels, internal organ function, diabetes, etc. We also have the capability to perform in-house thyroid tests, urinalysis, cytology, fungal cultures, and fecal analysis. There may be times when the necessary tests cannot be performed in-house, and in these cases, the samples are submitted to the outside laboratory. Most results are returned to us the next day.
